To ensure your Bofred product performs at its best; you will need to give it some care and attention. Please take note of the following care instructions and the materials that are relevant to your product. Please note our Care Instructions recommendations in this document are intended as a guide only, and Bofred does not assume responsibility or liability as results may vary.
This material could chip if dropped or knocked and anything sharp can scratch it. Avoid the use of chemicals such as solvents, detergents or ammonia as they damage or mark the surface. Wipe the surface with lukewarm water and wipe dry afterwards.
Products are intended for interior use only unless specified otherwise. Prolonged exposure to moisture could affect the surface finish, especially if the powder coating is damaged.
Either use a specialist cleaner or wipe the surface with lukewarm water and wipe dry afterwards. Remove all soap residue using a dry, clean, microfibre cloth, buff the object to bring up the shine. Never let marble or granite dry naturally, as this will cause water marks
Use Warm water and a mild detergent - spray and wipe down. Use only non-abrasive soap along with a non-scratch or delicate scrub pad. Always thoroughly rinse with clean water to remove residue.
Protect against excessive sunlight, dryness and heat. Direct sunlight will fade and dry out the leather and may cause it to crack. If necessary, use clean lukewarm water only and let dry naturally.
When using water, clean the entire area. Do not rub. Do not use chemicals, solvents, furniture polish, abrasive cleaners, soap or ammonia products. Any irregularities in the colour or the grain are normal characteristics of leather. Leather items may have wrinkles, scars or scratches that are an inherent quality.
Ceramic disks can be cleaned by wiping with warm water, avoid soaking and ensure to dry unglazed areas thoroughly. The Stoneware used is fired under high temperatures making the disks resistant to cracks and very durable.
Cotton / Linen should be cleaned regularly by vacuuming and wiping clean. If a stain occurs, use a mild laundry detergent with lukewarm water and a microfiber cloth. If that does not completely remove the stain, then commercial upholstery cleaners can be employed. Avoid using any coloured sponges or cleaning cloths as the dye may alter the fabric colour.
Because dust and dirt cause fabric to wear faster, we recommend vacuuming regularly with an upholstery attachment. Flip, rotate and fluff removable cushions regularly to ensure even wear and increase longevity. To minimise fading, avoid placing your upholstered furniture in direct sunlight. Dark fabrics and natural fibres like cotton are most susceptible to fading. An annual professional cleaning will keep your upholstered furniture looking its best.
For spot cleaning small stains, use an upholstery spot remover. Test the product first on a small inconspicuous area and then follow the instructions on the pack.
Can be polished using commercial furniture polish or can be wiped down with a dry cotton cloth. Products are intended for interior use only unless specified otherwise.
Oiled or wax wood surfaces: use a soft damp cloth as needed and wipe dry. If wood appears dry use commercial furniture oil or wax following the grain of the wood and remove excess and buff with a clean cloth
Because wood is a natural product, variations occur in finish, colour and stain acceptance. A sample cannot duplicate the exact tonality of your finished product.
Wood may expand and contract with seasonal variances. Maintain constant humidity levels to prevent warping or crackingRotate items on wood surfaces for uniform ageing and colour development. Light wood darkens, and dark wood lightens with age.
Use warm water and a soft, lint-free cloth to clean mirrors & dry immediately with a dry lint-free cloth. Do not use acid cleaners, as this can damage the surface and edges as well as the frame. We do not recommend using abrasive cleaners on the mirror's surface. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the mirror. Do not use cleaners that contain ammonia or vinegar. Dry wipe the frame of the mirror.
Lacquered, painted or stained wood is susceptible to scratches. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean as needed and wipe dry. For a persistent spot or stain, we recommend gently wiping with a soft cloth and a solution of water and mild detergent. Do not use cleaning products containing ammonia, alcohol or petroleum. Avoid furniture polish as it can accumulate over time and leave a residue.
